Tips For Drinking More Water

Drinking the right amount of water can be hard, especially with all of the delicious tasting drinks that are out there tempting us everyday. I have always found it difficult to consume the recommended amount of water but I have started making a conscious effort recently to up my water intake - which I discussed in a recent post here.

I thought I would put together a list of my top tips for drinking more water on a daily basis. These tips have been helping me drink more water and have allowed me to feel less bloated and better in myself.

My Top Tips For Drinking More Water


1.  Flavour the water with fruit - lemons, oranges whatever, you fancy infuses the water and makes it more interesting to the palette.

2. Chill the water or add ice - cold water is refreshing and I find nicer to drink.

3. Find a cup/mug/tumbler you like and keep it for water - having a dedicated item to drink water from makes it more special and ultimately helps you focus on what you are doing.

4. Use a straw  - drinking through a straw yet again adds a fun aspect to an otherwise mundane task.

5. Don't rush to replace fizzy drinks with water - take it in small steps to replace your regular drinks with water and day by day you will be drinking more and more water.
